Growing room
Ages are a guide. Children of the same age can be two sizes apart, so measure the chest if you can.
Several ages share a chest size: 2 and 3 years are both 22 inches, 4 and 5 are 24, 6 and 7 are 26, 8 and 10 are 28. The length is what changes, so an older child gets a longer jersey for the same chest.
From about 13 years, or a chest above 30 inches, move to adult XS (34 inches).

What size fits a 12 year old?
Our 12 years size: 30 inch chest, 22 inch length. A tall 12 year old with a chest over 30 inches should take adult XS (34).
What size is a kids XL jersey?
We size kids by age instead of S to XL. Our largest kids size is 12 years (30 inch chest); above that, adult XS.
Can kids' and adult sizes be in one order?
Yes, in the same design and at the same price per jersey.
Should I buy a bigger size for my child to grow into?
One age up is fine for a jersey worn over a season. More than that and the sleeves and length get too long to play in.
